The Flying W AirRanch is located 60 miles north of Tampa, FL,  2 miles west of I-75 at the Bushnell FL exit and about 35 miles south of Ocala, FL.

It has an east-west, 3400-ft lighted grass strip that has been established for 30 years. The unicom is 123.0 and GPS coordinates are N28 41 00 W82 09 49. The Airport ID is 9FL1. It currently boasts a 7-bed and breakfast facility. Fifteen one-acre residential lots are located on the north and south edges of the runway and are going fast.

A unique feature of the air park is the fact that the owner has a small heard of buffalo roaming around the grounds (not on the runway of course)-- this alone would make a visit worth the trip. Also a near-by canal offers a fishing opportunity for the out-doors enthusiast --

Here are a few pictures of the faces, places,  wings-- and a petting zoo?--  (click small pics 4 better view)

BTW-- there is currently a home for sale as well as a vacant lot at the Flying W--
